To Celebrate Our Many Years of Change and Transformation, 1975-2015
In Creating A Culture of Aging That Is Life-Affirming, Satisfying, Humane and Meaningful and Rededicating to the Next Forty Years of Change and Transformation, 2015-2055

  • You've heard all the pundits of culture change and transformation.
  • You've witnessed the stressors of change and economic hardship in long-term care.
  • You've experienced turnover and hopelessness.
  • But you are still hopeful and optimistic.
  • You are still experimenting with change as it meets the needs of our elders.
  • You are still defining person-centered care as having meaning and purpose, not just a marketing tone.
  • Whatever you want to call it, "culture change" is really here to stay and you are making a difference.

This year we will be transforming our Opening and Closing plenary sessions into a two-part Roll Call celebration of our past, and an optimistic look at the future. Coalitions, organizations, advocates and other Pioneers will help us name and recognize some of our achievements since 1975 in Part 1 of our Monday "People's Plenary." In Tuesday's Part 2 gathering after lunch, Chris Ridenhour will help us embrace an optimistic future in the next 40 years with new ideas, tools and hope!

Thank you for recognizing so many extraordinary accomplishments!
Join us in August as we acknowledge these individuals, organizations and milestones in culture change and transformation. We will celebrate accomplishments in the following categories:
  • Milestones in History of Culture Change
  • Collaborations with Government and Other Partners
  • Organizational Excellence
  • Leadership
  • Individual Achievements
  • State Coalitions
  • Clinical Practice
  • The Physical Environment
Each week's conference EBlast to you will share updates from our "Recognition List" and all that are recognized will be shared on the conference web site.

 ANNOUNCEMENT!

Christopher Ridenhour to lead Closing Keynote at People's Plenary!

We are pleased to announce that Chris Ridenhour, a previous Education Session Guide at our conference, will be a key figure in our 2015 People's Plenary, providing leadership in our closing session on Tuesday, August 4th, as we move forth optimistically into our next phase of hope and transformation.

Christopher Ridenhour is currently the Director of Employee Engagement and Customer Service Training at Liberty Lutheran, a Philadelphia-based CCRC management company. For the last eight years, Chris has traveled across North America keynoting and training for aging association conferences, including LeadingAge, the American College of Healthcare Administrators, the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living.

Christopher Ridenhour has consistently demonstrated a sensitivity and passion for the vision of "culture change" and the mission of the Pioneer Network. His live-streamed session last year on "Change Champions" was well-received at the Kansas City conference. For our People's Plenary this year in Chicago, he will be an active participant in shaping this unique experience of celebration, helping us focus on the "next forty years" and the tools we will need to successfully navigate and impact our transforming the culture of aging!

Please join us in welcoming Chris to our team and this great conference!
